The convention is intended to further introduce and enhance the application of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in the workplace for the regional area of Borneo, specifically for Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei, Indonesia and in addition; The Philippines.
Being a developing region, the OSH issue is much a virgin subject which needs to be further disseminated among employers and employees. As incidents statistics may seem to be reducing, the death toll due to accidents at the workplace is still towering. This is one of the factors that contributes to the decrease of the economic growth as the value of the company deteriorates.
Regional issues shall be brought up during the convention and all regions shall assist to solve the matter so as to make OSH as the problem solver.
By introducing OSH to the workplace, the management shall be committed in upholding OSH as well as the employees and affected public shall be more aware of the importance of safe working culture.
The enhancement of OSH to the workplace shall be an important role in the economic growth where the implementation and enforcement of OSH through effective training, consultation, continuous monitoring and review shall uplift the production and quality of goods and services rendered.
The OSH Management System would be a part of working system in all areas of work for the safety, health and welfare of the employees who are the most important capital for an organization.
