1. Objective
The examination is designed for those who intend to be a trainee for NIOSH Petronas Safety Passport Programme. The objective of the examination is to assess the candidate knowledge and understanding pertaining occupational safety and health at the workplace.
2. Entry Requirement
Trainees
- All levels of Petronas contractors.
- Candidates must has attended and completed NIOSH PETRONAS SAFETY PASSPORT (NPSP) course trainees program conducted by NIOSH registered NPSP trainer.
- Candidates should be able to read and write in Malay AND/OR English Language.

4. Languages
All questions are presented in Malay Language and English Language.

- For re-sit candidates, the same fees will be charge for each respective paper (*subject to changes).
8. Re-sit
Trainee who failed to pass the assessment 3 times consecutively, will be required to attend the NPSP training again before being allowed to be re-assessed.
9. Registration Card
NPSP card will be awarded to the candidate who passed the objectives paper.
10. Renewal of NPSP Card
NPSP card will be renewed once every 3 years. The candidates with expired NPSP card may have their NPSP renewed only after successfully attending a refresher course and passing the examination conducted by NIOSH. A fee of RM30* will be charge for renewal of NPSP card (*subject to changes).
Trainee must attend refresher course and assessment if there is evidence that the trainee have not met the standard or lapse in continuity for six months of work in the oil and gas industry.
