PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
On successful completion of the programme, a student will:
-
develop the necessary knowledge and skills required to effectively manage occupational safety and health at the organization;
-
acquire an in-depth understanding and competence in occupational safety and health practice;
-
demonstrate knowledge of the relevant legislative base with respect to occupational safety and health;
-
demonstrate the role and function of other safety and health professionals and the value of the team approach to occupational safety and health practice;
-
develop the necessary scientific and technical skills associated with analysis and the evaluation and interpretation of data;
-
demonstrate an effective communication regarding occupational safety and health matter with other professionals, and non-technical people.
PROGRAM FEATURES
It is a 12 – 15 months part-time programme conducted jointly by NIOSH and OUM.
Subjects are taught in English and Bahasa Malaysia by highly skill and qualified facilitators.
All registered students will get free access to OUM Digital Library.
PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS

SPM/MCE and 3 years relevant working experience, OR
Certificate of Safety and Health Officer recognized by NIOSH with 1 year relevant working experience OR
Registered Safety and Health Officer
