Industrial Hygiene Analytical Laboratory (IHAL), NIOSH is certified to the requirement of the MS
ISO/IEC17025 by the Department of Standard Malaysia. The scope of accredition include the fields of
chemical and microbiological testing.
IHAL is your source for high quality laboratory services in the areas of industrial hygiene and with
accordance to requirement under Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standard of Exposure to
Chemical hazardous to Health) Regulation 2000 or USECHH 2000; and Code Of Practice Of Indoor Air
Quality, 2005.
OUR SCOPE
- Workplace environmental samples - by Hygiene Technician (IHT1) as per requirement under Part
VIII of USECHH 2000 (Monitoring of Exposure of the Place of Work)
- Biochemical samples such as urine and blood - by Occupational Health Doctor (OHD) as per
requirement under Part IX of USECHH 2000 (Health Surveillance)
- Microbiology samples - by indoor air quality assessor as complimentary to Code Of Practice Of
Indoor Air Quality, 2005
QUALITY ASSURANCE/QUALITY CONTROL
Being a accredited as ISO:17025 lab, IHAL demonstrates technical competence for a defined scope
and the operation of the laboratory quality management system. This management approach
produces services in which total customer satisfactions is achieved.
Security of all samples is maintained from the time they are received at the laboratory until the
certificates of analysis receive by client. Documentation of analytical results and other laboratory
service is keep as hard copy and database for future reference. It will remains for three years and
they are available for your reference on request. We also provide free advice services on the
sampling and analysis as per legal requirement
