Welcome to NIOSH Penang Branch Website, the National Institute Of Occupational Safety And Health, Malaysia website.

NIOSH is the centre for training, consultancy, information dissemination and research in occupational safety and health in Malaysia. Established by the government in 1992 to spearhead the safety and health culture at the workplace in Malaysia.
Background

NIOSH Penang Branch has been launched by Datuk Dr. Fong Chan Onn, our Ministry of Human Resource on 24 November 2000 and fully operates on November 2000.

From only 4 staffs, today NIOSH Penang Branch have 8 staffs. Mejar (R) Hanif Maidin become the first manager then, replaced by Mr. Zariman Zainuddin started from 1 November 2001 untill 2003. Now, Mr Sham Zahary become the manager.
