Ordinary Membership (Individual):
Have at least two (2) years of professional experience in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) or a related field, such as:Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Public Healthor Safety Engineering ANDMust have attended and completed a minimum of two (2) training programs organized by NIOSH ORHold at least a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or its equivalent from a recognized professional body

Ordinary Membership (Corporate):
Certified with one of the following Malaysian or International ISO Standards:

· ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
· ISO 21101:2014 – Safety Management Systems for Adventure Tourism
· ISO 39001:2012 – Road Traffic Safety Management System
· MS 2530:2022 – Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil Certification
· ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System
· ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System AND

A corporation / organization / associations which has made a significant contribution to the development and implementation of policies, research, consultation, information dissemination and training of OSH; ORA corporation / organization /associations which may create business opportunities for NIOSH

Associate Membership

Non-citizen who has been professionally practicing in the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) for a minimum of two (2) years, with the intention to promote OSH to a higher level; OR

Individuals who are students or recent graduates in the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH); OR

Individuals who have attended OSH-C courses or early career professionals with less than two (2) years of experience in OSH; e.g Teachers involved in the OSH Committee at their school.

Honorary Membership

The honorary member may be invited by the Board, which no minimum requirement needed as long as he/she can create business opportunities for NIOSH. 

Fees
Ordinary Membership (Corporate):

Ordinary Membership (Associate Membership)

Payment must be made within three (3) months from the date of approval. Approved members who fail to make any payment within this period will have their names removed from the Register of Members, subject to the Board's approval.Application for membership approved before June 30th are required to pay the fully yearly fee. Those approved after July 1st, are required to pay half the yearly fee for the first year.

As for those who failed to pay the annual fee till 31st Dec for that particular year, the ‘STATUS’ of the Member will be members-not-in-benefits. If the members fail to pay for more than one (1) year, the Board has the right to terminate their membership.

Readmission of the member shall be under the discretion of the Board.
